I was inspired by the smoking ban that came into affect in July 2007. I took pictures of tobacco and cigarettes and drew from these as well as experimenting with paper manipulation in order to gain design ideas. I then started to experiment with colour, the tobacco turning to ash, and how i could interpretate this into my knit. My knits then began quite literal by adding tobacco and rizzla papers into them and burning, this ended in the resulting final pieces.
